Low Calorie Alcohol For Diet Conscious Drunkards!
Do you often drink liquor? Started gaining weight due to it? Feeling embarrassed due to your belly fat? And now, are you hunting for the Low Calorie Alcohol?
Most of the people drink occasionally at parties. It’s not bad to drink occasionally. But, we should drink moderately to gain its health benefits.
However, most of us don’t follow this rule and drink too much even after knowing its bad effects on our body. I have observed that most college going students are binge drinkers.
It happens that one starts drinking alcohol at parties and then he or she gets addicted to it. It usually starts with a beer in a college. Isn’t it?
I’m saying this because I had my first bottle of beer when I was in college. It was my friend’s birthday party and we all had it.
The taste was bitter, but we still had it. After 8-10 minutes of drinking it, I started feeling light. I was intoxicated! We all had another bottle of it and enjoyed the birthday party by dancing and singing.
After that I used to have beer in all parties and then started drinking other alcoholic beverages like whiskey, vodka, tequila etc.
In just one year I gained around 35 pounds (approx. 15 kg). The reason I gained weight – I used to drink too much alcohol on a regular basis.
I used to play basketball and my body was in shape when I started going to college. When I saw myself in mirror after one year, I was like “Who the hell is he?”
Then I started searching out for low calorie alcoholic drinks. I couldn’t give up drinking in one go just like you. I was kind of addicted to it.
Now, I have been able to lose weight by controlling my liquor intake and doing workout regularly. However, I am left with a few stretch marks around my belly. It looks bad, but it was my fault!
If you’ve also gained weight like me, you need to control your liquor intake by using an alcohol calorie calculator. You’ll have a rough idea of the number of calories you intake through alcohol.
You also have to cut your calorie intake while drinking alcohol. It’s not that you don’t have to eat. You should eat while having liquor, but it should be in limit and healthy for your body.
Try to avoid salty snacks and always drink moderately.
You also need to know that alcohol is relatively high in calories with around 7 calories per gram. It is second only to fat (macronutrient) which provides 9 calories per gram.
In the US, a standard drink is any drink containing nearly 14 grams of “pure” alcohol or about 0.6 fluid ounces of it.
So, you’re taking around 98 calories per drink excluding your mixer, which may be coke, soda or anything else.
It’s just an approximation, as different brands and types of alcoholic beverages vary in their actual alcohol content.
