  • 1 cup warm milk
  • Bread slices

Instructions:

  • Warm some milk but don’t make it too hot. Otherwise you’ll burn yourself.
  • Now, dip a piece of bread in the milk.
  • Place the bread on the ingrown hair and keep it there for 2-3 minutes or until the bread cools down.
  • Repeat this process for another 10 minutes.
  • After that, check if the pore has opened up. if so, use a sterile needle to pull the loop out and free it.

If you can’t see the opening, then repeat the dip and hold and if it still fails to open, then see your health professional.

2. Baking Soda to End Most of Your Skin Problems

Baking soda is godsend for people who are coping with pimples, acne scars, blackheads, and dandruff.

Because its anti-inflammatory properties help in reducing redness and provide a soothing effect.

The anti-fungal properties of baking soda prevent any infections that may be caused due to pus- filled ingrown hair.

Also, it helps in exfoliating skin and reduces the discomfort caused due to itching.

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 cup of water

  • Mix baking soda with water and mix them well.

  • 4-5 drops of tea tree oil
  • 2 tablespoons of distilled water
  • Cotton ball

Instructions:

  • Add tea tree oil to distilled water.
  • Cleanse the affected area with an antibacterial soap.
  • Now, simply apply the diluted tea tree oil with a cotton ball on the ingrown hair.
  • Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash the area with lukewarm water.

4. Benzoyl Peroxide for Ingrown Hair

Antibiotics (oral or topical cream) like erythromycin, benzoyl peroxide, and clindamycin are used to treat ingrown hair which is filled with pus and is infected.

Benzoyl peroxide is topically used to treat acnes, so it can also help in getting rid of improper hair growth.

Simply apply benzoyl peroxide to the affected area several times during the day, for a week.

6. Aspirin to Your Rescue

Aspirin is commonly used to get rid of headache, dandruff and hickey.

It can also help in alleviating redness and inflammation, the two most common symptoms of ingrown hairs.

Its anti-inflammatory properties reduce swelling, fight inflammation and treat mild infection.

Also, the salicylic acid present in it scrubs away dead skin to loosen the offending hair.

Ingredients:

  • 2 aspirin tablets
  • 1 teaspoon of warm water
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Instructions:

  • Soak aspirin tablets in warm water until it forms a paste-like consistency.
  • Now, add honey to the paste.
  • Apply this paste to the affected area and leave it for 10 minutes.
  • In the end, wash it off with warm water and gently pat the skin dry.

You’ve to follow this remedy once or twice a week to see the results.

If you’ve a highly sensitive skin, then don’t follow this remedy.

7. Egg Membrane- A Blessing in Disguise

For something which is usually thrown away with the shell, egg membrane actually has very interesting uses.

It provides efficient defense against bacterial invasion, therefore it can be used to remove your pesky ingrown hair.

Ingredients:

  • Egg membrane

Instructions:

  • Take out the membrane from inside an eggshell.
  • Carefully apply it on the problem area.
  • Let it dry for a few minutes and shrink around the area.
  • Once dry, and then pull it off. The ingrown will come out with it.
