7. Vincent’s Angina

It is also known as acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis(ANUG), more commonly as Trench Mouth.

Cause: It is a fuso-spirochaetal infection i.e. fusiform bacteria and spirochetes.

Site: This is an infection, characterized by ulcer formation on your oral cavity, tonsils, and pharynx.

It is a painful condition characterized by sloughing off the dead layer of the oral tissues.

Initially, the ulcer will be seen on your gums, as it continues spreading, it’ll reach the tonsils. After the ulcers have developed, they’ll bleed upon touch. White patches on tonsils will also become visible.

  • Severe pain in the mouth
  • Inflammation making the gums red and swollen
  • Sloughing of gum tissues between teeth

8. Oral Herpes

It is also called fever blisters or cold sores.

7. Gargle

Do gargle when throat feels scratchy and inflamed. Gargle treats the soreness, relieves the pain, and help the taste buds to recover.

Let me tell you the correct procedure:

  • Take warm water in a glass, mix 2 pinch salt into this
  • Now blend that material
  • Take a mouthful of the beverage and hold it in your throat
  • Lean your head back and make a sound ‘ Grrrrr Hhhhh’ from the back of your throat
  • Allow the warm water to touch around the tonsils
  • Now, ooze out the liquid and repeat the same process
  • Do it 5-6 times
  • You will get relief from pain

8. Sip warm, caffeine-free fluids

  • Treat your throat with a warm bath. Take hot drinks but these should be free from caffeine
  • You can have green tea with honey, clear vegetable soup, chicken broth, etc
  • If your throat is swollen, never take hot beverages; but opt for cold things like ice pops, ice creams. Ice massage on the neck can provide relief from the swollen throat

9. Create a comfortable ambiance

  • Live in a clean pollution-free ambiance
  • Run a humidifier to keep the air fresh and clean
  • Always wear a mask when you go out of your home

10. Stay away from Smoking

Smoking is known to alleviate the problem and will delay the healing process.
